With a tough year behind us, Christmas and Black Friday sales are finally around the corner! As you may already be looking to buy gifts for your loved ones, we thought it might be useful to let you know about Victoria’s Secret Credit Card program (which can also be used in its parent company Bath & Body Works), how it works and what incredible perks and rewards are available to you.
Victoria’s Secret Credit Card Program
Victoria’s Secret’s Credit Card program is very advantageous, regardless of what you usually purchase in their stores. Indeed, the rewards gained and special offers available are not only applicable to their wide range of underwear but also to all of their other products!
Per Victoria’s Secret’s table of credit card benefits (available on their website), they offer a $1 spent = 1 point earned cardmember reward system, which they multiply by 3 for every bra purchase. Through this scheme, you become entitled to a reward with every 250 points. They also include free shipping for every purchase above $50 (really handy if you don’t want to go in store due to the current pandemic), a perk of the month (such as offers, invites and early access to sales), and birthday treats. Their Silver and Gold membership programs also include half-birthday and credit card anniversary treats.
Overall, if you love Victoria’s Secret and their products, this scheme is a fantastic way to shop and earn rewards that will really be of value to you!
Can a Victoria’s Secret Credit Card be used elsewhere?
Yes, it sure can! As a matter of fact, you may not be aware of this but Victoria’s Secret is part of a larger group of companies, which includes (amongst others) Bath & Body Works and White Barn (their amazing brand of candles).
This is because while Victoria’s Secret was originally founded by Roy and Gaye Raymond in 1977, the shops were later acquired in 1982 by The Limited, Inc. an Ohio company, later rebranded as L Brands.
In the 1990s, L Brands later bought out Bath & Body Works and White Barn, making the three of businesses part of the same group. In retrospect, the diversification of L Brands was surely a very good decision for the company: Bath & Body Works has recently become its flagship business, allowing it to offset the steady decline in Victoria’s Secret sales since 2016.
Victoria’s Secret Credit Card Program and Bath & Body Works
As both companies are part of the same group, you will be able to use your Victoria Secret credit card in Bath & Body Works shops, both online and offline.
However, sadly, this practice will not allow you to build up (or spend) Victoria’s Secret rewards. Indeed, from the information available on their website, while Bath & Bodyworks lists “Victoria’s Secret Credit Card” in their list of accepted payment methods, they also make clear that “at this time, Cardmember Rewards [from a Victoria’s Secret Credit Card] are not able to be earned or redeemed when shopping in a Bath & Body Works store or online at BathandBodyWorks.com.” This policy is unfortunate and hopefully, it will be reconsidered in the future.
